The Syrian army liberated the town of al-Baqoum during a counteroffensive

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has launched a counter-offensive against the positions of militants of the extremist group "Jebhat al-Nusra" (terrorist organization banned in Russia), who have captured more than 20 settlements to the north and west of the city of Aleppo. This was reported by the Lebanese TV channel Al Mayadeen on November 28.
According to Al Mayadeen, government forces liberated the town of al-Bakum. Earlier, military reinforcements from other parts of Syria arrived in Aleppo. Militants of the organization Jebhat al-Nusra and associated radical groups approached a dangerous distance of 7-10 km from Aleppo in an attack on November 27.
The Syrian Defense Ministry said in a statement that the SAA crushed the terrorist insurgency in Aleppo and Idlib provinces, inflicting heavy losses in equipment and personnel on the enemy.
Earlier in the day, the Syrian Army with the support of the Russian Armed Forces struck at least 400 militants in a day. It is specified that over the past day in the Idlib de-escalation zone 13 shelling of positions of the Syrian government troops by the terrorist group "Jebhat al-Nusra" (banned in Russia) was recorded. Illegal armed groups attacked the Syrian government-controlled territory in Aleppo and Idlib provinces.
Earlier, on November 26, five shellings of the positions of the Syrian government forces by the terrorist group "Jebhat al-Nusra" (banned in Russia) were recorded in the Idlib de-escalation zone. Also in Aleppo province, a Syrian serviceman was wounded as a result of the dropping of an improvised explosive device from a drone launched by terrorists.
