Air defense systems intercepted 30 AFU drones over Rostov region

In Rostov Region, air defense and electronic warfare (EW) equipment intercepted at least 30 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported on Friday, November 29, by acting governor Yuri Slyusar.

"The air defense means reflect a massive air attack of the enemy. At the moment, 30 UAVs have already been destroyed and suppressed by means of electronic warfare in the northwest of the Rostov region," Slyusar wrote in his Telegram channel.

There is no information about casualties, but in the farm Masalovka of Kamensky district the roof of a private house was damaged, the head of the region added. Also in the village of Dyachkino, Tarasovsky district, windows were damaged due to the fall of debris on a private farmstead.

Operational duty services went to the site, said Slyusar.

On the night of November 26, Slyusar reported four destroyed unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), including in the area of Novoshakhtinsk, Taganrog, Kamensk and Zernograd. There are no casualties or destruction on the ground.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
