Salmonella bacteria have been detected in 12 of the poisoned visitors of a sushi bar in St. Petersburg. About it on November 28 reports the branch of Rospotrebnadzor in the Northern capital.

"As of November 28, 23 cases of intestinal infection have been registered. In the infectious diseases hospitalized 21 people, in 12 of the sick in the biological material detected Salmonella", - stated in the Telegram-channel of the Department.

It is specified that the victims are guests of the catering establishment "Tokyo City" on Sizova Street, 9. The first eight patients went to doctors with complaints of intestinal infection in the period from November 24 to 25. A sanitary and epidemiological investigation is underway.

Earlier on November 28, a source of "Izvestia" reported that 16 people were hospitalized with symptoms of poisoning after visiting one of the restaurants in St. Petersburg. The victims are being provided with the necessary assistance. It was preliminarily noted that they have symptoms of salmonellosis (acute intestinal infection). At the moment the condition of the patients is characterized as satisfactory. Preliminary, the victims were poisoned by fish in sushi and rolls. The batch of product has already been withdrawn from sale.
