The Russian army has hit the location of a special operations center unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with Iskander missiles, eliminating 72 militants. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on November 28.

The Russian Armed Forces (AF) carried out such strikes during the week in response to the AFU attacks deep into Russian territory. The targets of the Russian military became, among other things, the locations of the Ukrainian army's long-range weapons.

"A strike by an Iskander missile on the temporary deployment point of a detachment of the AFU special operations center's detachment in the city of Odessa destroyed 72 personnel of crewless marine drone control units, including nine French instructors and technicians," the ministry said in a statement.

In addition, on November 25, the Russian Armed Forces struck the headquarters of the Kraken unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GID) in Kharkiv, killing up to 40 foreign specialists, mostly US citizens.

The ministry added that on the morning of November 28, the Russian military launched a combined strike on enterprises of Ukraine's defense-industrial complex (DIC) and critical infrastructure that supports their work.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry showed footage of the combat work of the FPV-drone unit of the "North" group of troops, which destroyed an AFU pickup truck in Kharkiv Region. The Ukrainian equipment was detected by reconnaissance drone operators.

On the same day, the ministry reported that the Russian military, with the help of an FPV drone, destroyed a launcher of the AFU's APKWS II air defense missile system (SAM), which was located near the settlement of Ochakov in the Mykolaiv region. The objective control footage shows that the target was successfully destroyed.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
