The court ordered the ex-Pro-Rector of PFUR to ban certain actions

The court elected a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions to the former vice-rector of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (PFUR), Angela Dolzhikova, who is suspected of embezzlement of budget funds on a particularly large scale. This was reported by a correspondent of "Izvestia" from the courtroom on November 28.

According to preliminary information of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Dolzhikova, holding the position of vice-rector, ensured the conclusion of contracts with the Ministry of Education in order to obtain a grant for the development of the supervised direction. According to Izvestiya's sources, the grant was in the form of a subsidy for work on the full functioning and development of the Russian language. This included, in particular, the task of developing a textbook layout. At the same time, it was not PFUR that received the grant funds, but some other organization.

It was this company that engaged the university's employees to perform the above-mentioned work by concluding civil law contracts (CLC) with them. Within the framework of these contracts, the teachers did their work in full - the textbook was published, it consists of six parts devoted to language learning at different levels.

About the detention of the ex-prorector of one of the leading universities of Russia earlier in the day reported the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk. Izvestia's source clarified that it is Dolzhikova we are talking about. The suspect and other people allegedly involved in the embezzlement have been searched. Law enforcers continue to clarify all the circumstances of the crime.
