Russian Armed Forces strike on Kraken headquarters destroys up to 40 foreign specialists

The Russian Armed Forces (AF) have hit the headquarters of a unit of the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry in Kharkiv. This was reported in the Russian Defense Ministry on November 28.

"On November 25, as a result of a missile strike on the headquarters of the GUR Kraken unit in the city of Kharkiv, up to 40 people of foreign specialists, mostly from the United States, were destroyed," the report said.

In addition, on the same day, a strike by an Iskander missile on the temporary deployment point of the detachment of the AFU special operations center in Odessa destroyed 72 AFU military personnel from the crewless marine drone control units. Of them - nine French instructors and technicians, the agency specified.

Also on the morning of November 28, the Russian Armed Forces launched a combined strike on the facilities of Ukraine's defense-industrial complex (DIC) and energy infrastructure, which is responsible for their operating systems.

Earlier, on November 27, the Russian Defense Ministry said that the Russian army's North group of forces destroyed AFU strongholds in Kharkiv Region. The facilities were detected with the help of aerial reconnaissance means. As a result of the Russian army's actions, the AFU militants, as well as their strongholds, were eliminated with the help of high-precision Krasnopol shells.

On the same day in the Zaporizhzhya region, at training ranges in the rear zone of the SSO, servicemen of the assault units of the Dnepr group of troops practiced the tactics of rapid attacks on enemy strongholds using T-90M Breakthrough tanks. The regiment's deputy commander said that the main task was to create an element of surprise and to take decisive action.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
