Three residents died in a private social center in Altai, Russia

In Altai Krai, three residents of a private social service center in the village of Kalistratikha, Kalmansky district, died, and several others sought medical help. As reported on Thursday, November 28, in the press service of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee (ICS) of the Russian Federation for the region, a criminal case has been opened over the incident.

"In the afternoon of November 28, 2024 in the village of Kalistratikha Kalmansky district in a private social organization with signs of poisoning found the body of a guest. Several more people with signs of poisoning were hospitalized in medical institutions, where later two of them died," - reported in the Telegram-channel of the agency.

As it is noted, the regional directorate of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia initiated a criminal case under Part 3 Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet the safety requirements of life and health of consumers, resulting in the death of two or more persons by negligence").

The progress of its investigation is under control. Investigators are working at the scene of the accident. Employees of the authorities seize items of importance for the investigation, interrogate the staff of the institution and its guests. Forensic and chemical examinations have been appointed.

Before that, on April 16, in Moscow, a patient of a private clinic died after plastic surgery on the abdomen. The Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia initiated a criminal case under paragraph "c" of part 2 of article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet the safety requirements of life and health of consumers, resulting in death"). As it was established, a 40-year-old woman underwent abdominoplasty on April 14. The next day she felt ill, after which the patient died a short time later.
