Dmitry Mikheev, asset manager of the investment company Cresco Finance, has predicted the dollar exchange rate in 2025.

In a conversation with Radio 1 on Thursday, November 28, the expert noted that despite the fairly good economic performance, politics takes over. In this regard, many economists have become political scientists in order for their forecasts to be more accurate.

"I think that we will depend on the rate of 95-100+. It remains to be seen what will happen with politics next, because the last few years, economic indicators depend more on political statements and decisions," the economist emphasized.

Earlier in the day, Capital Lab partner Evgeny Shatov told "Izvestia" that there are several reasons for the sharp strengthening of the dollar against the ruble, including the formation of a liquidity deficit of the U.S. national currency. In particular, according to him, the market has formed a deficit of dollar liquidity, as there is not enough for the market repatriation of foreign currency earnings by exporters.

The dollar exchange rate on November 27 rose above Br111, the euro - Br113. Economists interviewed by "Gazeta.Ru" explained such a sharp rise by the effect of new U.S. sanctions.

On the same day, the Central Bank also temporarily refused to buy foreign currency on the domestic market. At the same time, it will sell foreign currency to replenish and use the accounts of the National Welfare Fund, specifies 360.ru.
