Over the next five years, Chinese concern Changan Automobile intends to invest more than 50 billion yuan in the creation of a flying car by 2026 and a humanoid robot by 2027. This is stated in a report of the automaker, which was received by Izvestia on November 28.

According to Zhang Xiaoyu, executive vice president of Changan Automobile, the technology of the future should have an anthropomorphic structure comparable to human intelligence, as well as capabilities superior to those of humans.

"In the future, human, automobile and environment will become intelligent nodes that integrate carbon-based life forms, silicon-based intelligent systems and multi-dimensional interactions. Based on this, Changan Automobile will develop humanoid robots and form a three-level transportation ecosystem for land, water and air mobility," the company explained.

Changan noted that the low-altitude economy, which includes small aviation, in China exceeded 500 billion yuan in 2023, and this amount will increase to 3.5 trillion yuan by 2035. This market covers drones, urban air cabs, light helicopters and airplanes.

On November 21, Changan announced prices for the third-generation CS75 Plus crossover in Russia. It will be available in three configurations, the base version will cost 3.54 million rubles. Izvestia reported in detail about the list of options on November 8.
