Fraudsters swindled almost 15 million rubles from a former deputy of the State Duma. This was reported by a source of Izvestiya on November 28.

According to the interlocutor, the attackers introduced themselves as employees of the government, the FSB and the Central Bank and convinced the man that they were trying to transfer money from his account to a certain citizen who was on the federal wanted list.

The criminals also informed the ex-deputy about several loans allegedly issued in his name.

Referring to the safety of funds and prevention of negative consequences from the alleged assistance to the criminal, the fraudsters forced the man to take out two loans and borrow money from acquaintances.

Within five days, the former deputy transferred to couriers about 15 million rubles in different currencies.

A check is being conducted.

The day before it was reported that the fraudsters stole from the 18-year-old soccer player almost 4.5 million rubles. As the source of "Izvestia" specified, the criminals contacted the girl several times under the guise of employees of a cellular operator and banks. An investigation is underway.
