The closing ceremony of the Year of the Family will be held at the National Center "Russia"

The closing ceremony of the Year of the Family is planned to be held at the National Center "Russia" at the end of December. This was announced on November 28 by Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova at a meeting of the State Council Commission "Family", which is held on the federal territory of Sirius.

"We plan to hold the federal solemn closing ceremony of the Year of the Family in late December at the National Center "Russia" with the invitation of a large number of families from different parts of the country," Golikova said.

She also appealed to regional authorities to hold similar ceremonies in their subjects.

Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered to create a national center "Russia" in Moscow in July. The center will be created in order to preserve the heritage of the past exhibition-forum of the same name at the VDNKh in the capital, as well as to demonstrate the country's achievements.

Later, on November 24, Valentina Matviyenko, the speaker of the Council of the Russian Federation , suggested holding a "Decade of the Family" to support laws to support family welfare.
