Europe has been lowered below the plinth, it has ceased to exist as an independent center of decision-making, dancing to the tune of the United States. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin on November 28 during a communication with journalists in Astana.

"It seems to me that this Europe has been lowered below the plinth. It has ceased to exist as an independent political sovereign center of world politics. To the tune of the U.S. administration, it dances the butterfly polka-dance just like that. At the first whistle. Even to its own detriment," he said.

According to the head of state, for example, the government of the Federal Republic of Germany is more likely to fulfill some assignment of the American special services than to work in the interests of the German people.

Putin shared his incomprehension of how Germany agrees with everything the U.S. does. According to the Russian president, entire companies and industries are moving from Germany to America, leaving hundreds or even thousands of Germans unemployed. The German authorities, for their part, are doing nothing. It is hard to negotiate with such partners, Putin pointed out.

The Russian leader also said that Russia is not to blame for the degradation of relations with Europe. In his opinion, the reason for this, among other things, is the result of domestic European policy.

As a conclusion, Putin expressed hope that the natural interest in developing relations with Russia would prevail in the countries of Europe.

On the same day, Alexander Mikhailov, head of the Bureau of Political-Military Analysis, said that the United States deliberately contributed to the conflict in Ukraine, among other things, in order to empty the armament reserves of European countries and make them dependent on American weapons. Thus, if US President-elect Donald Trump stops aid to Kiev, European countries will not be able to make up for the shortage of weapons in the Ukrainian army.

Also on November 28, the Bloomberg agency noted that the United States is the main supplier of aid to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Kiev is very dependent on it. The observers noted that after Trump comes to power, Europe will have to increase its military aid because his peace plan could change the current trends in Washington's assistance to Kiev.

Back in June of this year, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova pointed out that European countries are in a position of complete dependence on the United States, which is the biggest problem for these states.
