- The Council of Federation reacted to Biden's preparation of a new aid package for Ukraine

The delivery of a new aid package to Ukraine by the administration of incumbent US President Joe Biden will lead to an increase in escalation. This opinion was voiced by the first deputy head of the Federation Council's committee on international affairs, Vladimir Dzhabarov, on Thursday, 28 November, reacting to reports about its preparation.
The politician suggested to treat these news calmly.
"First of all, they still have to have time to do it. Secondly, I understand that they want to spoil the starting position for Trump definitively, so that he gets mired in this war with the support of Ukraine against Russia. If they don't feel bad about that money, let them send it. We'll deal with that too. I think it's all going in the furnace. It will bring no benefit, except for the growth of escalation, from which the Americans themselves will sooner or later suffer," - quotes the senator Lenta.Ru.
Earlier in the day, Reuters reported that the administration of incumbent President Biden is developing a new $725 million aid package for Ukraine, RT reported.
According to an official familiar with the plan, the President's administration plans to provide various anti-tank weapons from the US stockpile. The package may include landmines, drones, Stinger missiles, and ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), NSN reports.
The United States expects Ukraine to use mines on its territory, although it has pledged not to use them in areas populated by its own civilian population.
Earlier in the day, WSJ reported on Biden's failure to spend all the funds allocated to Kiev. According to US and congressional officials, the Biden administration did not have enough time left to use the billions of dollars allocated by lawmakers to arm Ukraine, leaving President-elect Donald Trump to decide what to do with the remaining money.
On the eve it became known that Joe Biden asked Congress to allocate $24 billion to Ukraine to strengthen its military capabilities and replenish America's dwindling reserves.
Meanwhile, on November 14, Pentagon press secretary Sabrina Singh said that the USA intended to supply Ukraine with all the weapons promised by Biden before he leaves office.
On November 13, White House adviser Jake Sullivan said that Biden would ask Congress for additional funds to support Ukraine before leaving office.
Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Ukraine amid Russia's special operation to protect Donbass, which began on February 24, 2022. The decision to conduct it was made by the Russian president because of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to the increased shelling by Ukrainian troops.
