The Russian government will allocate 3.5 billion rubles to new regions to maintain the work of the housing and utilities sector

The Russian government will allocate more than 3.5bn roubles to the Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions to maintain the energy infrastructure. This was announced by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on November 28.

"The government continues to help Russian regions, including within the framework of the modernization of the housing and utilities industry, which is being carried out on the instructions of the President(Vladimir Putin - Ed.)," he said.

According to Mishustin, this upgrade is especially relevant in the fall and winter period.

The Prime Minister specified that more than Br3.5 billion will be allocated to ensure stable operation of networks, as well as heat and water supply, in order to improve their reliability.

Earlier, on November 25, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev said that the agrarians of Donbass and Novorossiya receive all the necessary support measures in a systematic manner. He spoke about the state program "Integrated development of rural areas", under which from 2025, 2 billion rubles will be allocated annually to create favorable living conditions in rural areas in the new regions.

Before that, on October 13, Putin in a video message on the occasion of the Day of Worker of Agriculture and Processing Industry expressed special gratitude to the employees of the agricultural complex of Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions, Donbass, as well as border Kursk, Belgorod and Bryansk regions and promised to restore infrastructure in the new and border regions of the Russian Federation.
