A derelict offshore platform was inspected in the Sea of Azov

Employees of the Black Sea-Azov Sea Department of Rosprirodnadzor together with the environmental prosecutor's office studied the ownerless offshore platform. About it on Thursday, November 28, reports the press service of the Prosecutor's office of Krasnodar region.
The object is located in the waters of the Temryuk Bay. In the 1970-1980s the platform was used for drilling operations. During the study found that it is placed 1.5 km from the coast of the village Golubitskaya.
No traces of oil pollution were found at the platform location, but the specialists took a water sample. The results are under the control of the prosecutor's office, writes IA KrasnodarMedia.
Earlier in November it was reported that scientists have developed tools for the extraction of a new biological object of fishing in the Sea of Azov. The water body is filled with anadara mollusk (scapharka), which is found in the seas of the Far East.
