- Chelyabinsk received the second part of the loan for modernization of trolleybus infrastructure

Bank DOM.RF disclosed the second sublimit of credit facilities to finance the construction of trolleybus infrastructure in Chelyabinsk in the amount of 2.2 billion rubles, the press service of the financial organization reported. The allocated credit line is intended for implementation of the next stage of the Chelyabinsk Trolleybus project, which provides for reconstruction of the trolleybus depot No. 2 and completion of the renewal of the trolleybus contact network.
The aggregate limit of the credit line opened by DOM.RF Bank for the project is almost 4.9 billion rubles. The project is being implemented under a concession agreement on modernization and subsequent operation of the trolleybus infrastructure in the capital of the Southern Urals.
Earlier, more than 65 km of the contact network were modernized using the raised financing, replacing worn-out elements: contact wires, supports, cables, insulators. New trolleybuses were also purchased, which are now operating on four city routes, and trolleybus depot No. 1 was built for at least 50 trolleybuses. The complex was put into pilot operation in September; it was built from scratch and became the second trolleybus depot in the city.
"Financing under the concession agreement is a long-term investment for the realization of large, significant projects for the residents of the regions. The work on modernization of transport infrastructure in Chelyabinsk, which is supported by our bank, has already made it possible to extend routes to remote neighborhoods of the city, increase the number of new trolleybuses and build a high-tech facility for maintenance of rolling stock - depot No. 1. This is an example of an effective public-private partnership, which will help to significantly improve transportation accessibility in the city and contribute to the economic growth of the entire region," said Lyubov Barablina, Head of PPP and Infrastructure at DOM.RF Bank.
