Expert named five ways to save on utility bills

Payments for utilities will help to reduce financial literacy and new technologies. This opinion was expressed by an expert in the field of housing and communal services (HCS) Andrei Fradkin on Thursday, November 28. He also named five ways to save money on payment of receipts.
He reminded that the state provides subsidies and benefits for payment of housing and communal services (HCS) to a number of citizens - low-income, large families, pensioners, disabled people.
"All the current benefits in your region can be viewed on the GIS Housing and Utilities Portal or on the websites of the housing departments of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. If you find it difficult to understand this information yourself, you can turn to the specialists of the MFC - there you will be consulted," Lenta.Ru quoted Fradkin as saying.
The expert noted that those who pay for housing and utility services not according to meters, but according to the norms, can make a recalculation, if they have been absent from home for more than five days. To do this, you need to apply to the management company or resource supplying organization with a corresponding application.
Another good way to save money is bank cards with cashback for payment of housing and utilities services. Fradkin added that the conditions for customers from different regions may differ.
In addition, he recommended installing meters to pay only for the resources used. In order to save money, the specialist advised to buy a multi-tariff electricity meter, which allows paying at a reduced rate during night and half-peak hours.
He added that disconnecting unnecessary services, such as radio or home phone, will also help to reduce payments.
Earlier, on October 31, Senator, arbitration manager of the Ministry of Justice Olga Epifanova reminded that Russian pensioners have access to a subsidy for payment of utilities, if their expenses are higher than a certain part of income, reports 360.ru.
Compensation for the cost of capital repairs is provided for pensioners. For Russians over 70 years old it is 50%, over 80 years old - 100%, reports IA Regnum.
