A schoolboy from Kuzbass hid in a store for two days after being beaten by his stepfather

In Prokopyevsk, Kemerovo region, a 12-year-old schoolboy hid for two days behind boxes in the dairy department of the store from his stepfather, who beat him up. About it on Thursday, November 28, reported the source of "Izvestia".

"At the moment, the stepfather is detained," - said the source.

It is noted that the boy's disappearance became known in the evening of November 26. The child was found two days later in the store with signs of beating. The boy was sent to the hospital.

As reported by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (ICRF) in the Kemerovo region on its website, a criminal case has been opened against the previously convicted stepfather of the 12-year-old boy under paragraph "g" of part 2 of article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Torture committed against a known minor") and paragraph "b" of part 2 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Intentional infliction of serious harm to health")

"In the period from May 2024 to November 2024, the suspect systematically caused physical and moral suffering to his 12-year-old stepson, including forcing the child to spend the night in an unheated room without outer clothing in conditions of low temperatures, deliberately inflicted damage that caused a change in the appearance of the boy's face," - stated in the message of the agency.

It is also specified that the boy was removed from the family, at the moment psychologists are working with him. Investigators are establishing the circumstances of the incident. The question of the arrest of the stepfather is being decided.

Earlier, on November 21, a minor visitor in Tyumen as a result of a conflict beat up a teenager in one of the schools of the city. The investigative bodies of the regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of Russia initiated a criminal case under paragraph "a", part 1, article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Hooliganism").

Head of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin instructed the head of the regional department of the agency to report on the results of the investigation of the case, to establish the causes and conditions of the incident.
