The "viju Night of Emotions" was held in Moscow

On November 27, Moscow's Illuzion cinema hosted the event that moviegoers had been waiting for all year - the second "viju night of emotions" from the viju+ TV channel package. Top experts organized a new movie review, and the guests transformed from spectators into participants of the meeting.
Together with film critics and a psychologist, the audience watched five "emotional sets" - movie fragments, each of which was dedicated to one side of fear. All screenings were accompanied by expert commentary.
Program Director of "Horror Fest", curator of the "Wild Nights" section at MIFF, founder of Midnight Egor Moskvitin and editor-in-chief of " Cinema-Theater.ru".
"Kino-Theater.ru", producer Jean Prossyanov told about the techniques directors use to evoke the emotions they need. The guests of the evening got to know more about suspense, learned what the zest of horror films is, and learned to understand movies better.
The viju fear set discussed the base emotion. It is the fear that helps us survive and the fearlessness that can save the lives of others. The "viju phobia" set focused on gratuitous fear. Many movies use it in climactic scenes. During the discussion of the "viju anxiety" set of scenes, the audience was told how it differs from anxiety and why we watch movies that evoke this emotion. "Viju horror" collected some of the most difficult scenes. Experts explained how horror is characterized and in what situations we experience it. The final set was "viju excitement." This emotion is associated with anxiety before important events-before a date, a job interview, a trip.
Expert in psychosomatics and non-directive hypnosis, EMDR-therapist Maxim Kovalenko explained the mysterious effect of the "uncanny valley", highlighted the psychology of fear and taught techniques for working with it. The audience learned how fear can save a life, learned to distinguish anxiety from worry and became more familiar with the subtleties of emotions.
The invited experts were able to create a real chemistry with the audience, joking a lot and telling fascinating life stories.
Many Russian celebrities also came to the event. Among the guests were actors Ilya Leibin ("Molodezhka. New shift"), Sofya Priss ("Silver Skates"), Alexander Mizev ("Passion for Matvey"), Anna Yeshchenko (mini-series "Mind Tricks") and others.
