Due to the change in the dollar exchange rate, 38% of surveyed Russians refused to travel abroad for the New Year: 27% of them have already managed to buy tickets and now plan to return them. This is stated in the results of the study of financial marketplace "Vyberu.ru", which were read by "Izvestia" on November 28.

Another 3% of respondents said that they did not refuse to travel abroad, but chose another, more affordable destination. At the same time, 26% of respondents said that they had time to change rubles in advance, so they could afford to make the planned trip. As for the remaining 33%, they decided not to make hasty decisions and hope that by the end of the year the ruble will still strengthen.

Anna Romanenko, director of the department of communication policy of the financial marketplace "Vyberu.ru", reminded that against the background of the weakening of the national currency, the Russian Central Bank announced the cessation of currency purchases in the domestic market from November 28.

"This statement has already, at least, stopped the growth of the dollar. According to our forecasts, even weakening is possible until the end of the year. The dollar is unlikely to fall below Br100, but Br105-110 is a very real scenario," the expert emphasized.

According to the Central Bank, November 28, the U.S. dollar is at Br108. Back in early November, it cost Br97.

Earlier in the day, finance and investment expert, founder of the financial club "Multiplier" Evan Golovanov told "Izvestia" that the national currency rate will stabilize in February next year. In his opinion, the dollar may trade around Br96-98 at the end of winter.
