Russian President Vladimir Putin has approved a list of indicators for assessing the effectiveness of governors and executive bodies of constituent entities. The corresponding decree was published on November 28 on the official Internet portal of legal information.

Among the criteria are the population's trust in representatives of the authorities, the total birth rate, the poverty and education levels of the region's residents, their satisfaction with various aspects of life in a constituent entity of the Russian Federation, the rate of income growth and digitalization, the quality of the environment in reference settlements and other indicators.

"I decree <...> to report annually, by February 1, to the president of the Russian Federation on the actual values of basic and additional sociological indicators for the reporting period," the decree reads.

Putin instructed the presidential administration to develop and submit to him for approval within two months a methodology for calculating the values of the main sociological indicators in the list.

Earlier, on November 8, data from a poll of Russians published by the All-Russian Center for Public Opinion Research (VTsIOM) showed that 60.8% of respondents trust Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, and this figure is growing. 1.6 thousand Russians over the age of 18 took part in the poll.
