The AFU lost five mortars on the Kursk direction over the day

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have lost over 250 fighters and five mortars and an infantry fighting vehicle in the Kursk direction over the day. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on November 28.

In addition, units of the "North" group of forces hit AFU formations near the settlements of Alexandria, Viktorovka, Daryino and others.

Strikes of operational-tactical and army aviation and artillery fire hit the enemy's manpower and equipment in Sumy region near the settlements of Belovody, Vorozhba, Zhuravka.

Also one of the AFU servicemen surrendered as a prisoner of war.

Earlier in the day in the Kursk region the operator of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) destroyed a combat vehicle of the AFU. It is noted that the Armed formations of Ukraine were going to transfer personnel and military equipment to the front line. The combat vehicle exploded on a mine, the crew tried to take cover in the woods, but was destroyed by artillery fire, corrected by the Rosguard.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
