- The court charged the Ukrainian Embassy in Russia 2.5 million rubles for non-payment for electricity

The Moscow Arbitration Court has recovered 2.5m rubles from the Ukrainian embassy in Russia on a lawsuit filed by PJSC MOEK over electricity debts. This was reported in the court on November 28.
The debt was recovered in favor of the public joint stock company "Moscow United Energy Company" for non-payment of electricity over 2.3 million rubles and penalties over 184 thousand rubles, writes TASS, referring to the court data.
During this year, the court has already recovered about 29 million rubles from the Ukrainian Embassy on five claims of MOEK. The company demands to repay debts and penalties, including under heating and hot water supply contracts from 2009.
In February this year, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the Moscow City Property Department had decided to terminate the lease agreements for the land plots provided for the accommodation of the Ukrainian embassy. Zakharova emphasized that this measure was an adequate response to Kiev's hostile actions based on the principle of reciprocity.
