UAZ will improve the quality of vehicle coloring

The Ulyanovsk automobile plant will upgrade the coloring complex before the start of production of pickup trucks under the Sollers brand, due to which the quality of paintwork of "Uazov" will increase. This was reported on November 28 by Quto.ru with reference to the General Director of Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant Alexei Spirin.

On the site of Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant will soon begin production of related models of pickup trucks ST6, ST8 and ST9. Body assembly will be carried out on the line, where Patriots, Pickups and Profi are assembled now. Previously at UAZ robotic painters applied the primer by the outdated aerostatic method, now a more progressive electrostatic method will be used.

It is noted that the automobile plant has long started to introduce electrostatic painting, but now it is combined with a modernized priming process. The primary primer is applied when the body passes through a cataphoresis bath, and the secondary primer is sprayed by robots.
