Ryabkov: Russia will make sure that the US feels the consequences of the Ukrainian conflict

TheUSA has already become one of the parties to the Ukrainian conflict, they should realize that Russia will achieve something that will make them "shiver and shudder". This was stated by Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov in a conversation with RIA Novosti on Thursday, November 28.

According to Ryabkov, American politicians easily talk about where their weapons will be aimed and the range of their use, but at the same time the United States should realize that in this way they have already become one of the parties to the conflict in Ukraine.

The deputy foreign minister added that some time ago such a situation would have caused "trembling and consternation" in Washington, but this is not the case now.

He noted that Moscow will make sure that "trembling and consternation" engulfs the United States, because it needs to be "brought to its senses" and all of Russia's actions are aimed at that.

Ryabkov said on the same day that Moscow regularly warns Washington to prevent the expansion of the territory of attacks by long-range ATACMS missiles on Russia. The diplomat noted that one example of such signals was the test and live launch of the Oreshnik medium-range missile.

Earlier, on November 26, Pentagon spokesman Major General Patrick Ryder confirmed the permission of the AFU to strike Russia with ATACMS missiles. He specified that the conversation is about the Kursk region. At the same time Ryder left it to the Ukrainians to tell about the operations in terms of their goals and effectiveness independently.

Before that, on November 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Ukraine had used Western long-range weapons against the Russian state, due to which the regional conflict had acquired elements of a global one. He also said that one of Russia's newest medium-range missile systems, the Oreshnik ballistic missile, had been tested under combat conditions.

The special operation to protect Donbass, which began on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
