Putin says Russian missiles are superior to U.S. missiles

The new American missiles are inferior to Russian missiles in terms of their characteristics. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a session of the CSTO Collective Security Council on November 28.
He noted that the mass of the warhead in TNT equivalent of the mentioned systems is approximately the same, but the Russian Iskander has a longer range.
"The new U.S. PSM missile is in no way superior to its Russian counterparts in terms of parameters. The Storm Shadow airborne missile, the French SCALP and the German Taurus have a warhead of somewhere around 450-480 kilograms in TNT equivalent, a range of 500-650 kilometers, 650 is just the German Taurus missile. The Russian analog of these systems is an airborne missile Kh-101, which has a comparable warhead in terms of power, but significantly exceeds each of the European-made systems in terms of range," the President explained.
The head of state noted that the Russian side is well aware of all the characteristics of the enemy's weapons and data on their deliveries to Kiev.
"We know, of course, how many relevant weapons systems the potential enemy has, where exactly they are, how many weapons have been delivered to Ukraine and how many are planned to be delivered," he warned, adding that in Russia the production of missile systems is 10 times more than the total production of all NATO countries combined, and in 2025 this production will be increased by another 25-30%.
Commenting on Ukraine's requests to Western allies for additional armaments, Putin urged not to forget about the Russian-made Kinzhal, Kalibr and Cyclone missile systems.
"We see that the head of the Kiev regime is also nagging his masters for other military equipment. Let no one forget the Kalibr complexes, hypersonic missile systems Kinzhal and Tsirkon, which have no analogues in the world in terms of their characteristics," the Russian leader added.
Earlier, on November 22, British military analyst Alexander Mercouris said that the test of the new Russian Tsirkon missile along with the Kinzhal is very bad news for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
The special operation to protect Donbass, which was announced by the Russian president on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
