Ingushetia has become the leader in terms of the frequency of CMTPL insurance claims

The Republic of Ingushetia ranks first in terms of the frequency of CMTPL insurance claims for the period from October 1, 2023 to September 30, 2024 with a rate of 7.9%. This is stated in the report of the Russian Union of Motor Insurers (RIA), which was received by "Izvestia" on November 28.
The frequency of insured events is defined as the ratio of the number of settled losses to the number of concluded CMTPL insurance contracts in the region (in percent). In second place in the rating is the Republic of Dagestan, where the frequency of insurance claims amounted to 7.7%. The Primorsky Krai rounds off the top three with 6.1%.
The average frequency of CMTPL insurance claims in Russia was 4.4%. Above average results were recorded in the Chechen Republic and the Republic of Sakha, the Khabarovsk Territory, the Novosibirsk Region, the Republic of Tatarstan and Moscow, as well as in 19 other regions. According to RAMI, over the period, the frequency of CMTPL insurance claims in Russia has decreased or remained unchanged in the vast majority of the country's regions, including the regions leading the rating.
"This was largely due to the coordinated work of law enforcement agencies, local authorities and insurers. However, the problem with road safety and the high level of unfair practices in CMTPL insurance in these regions still remains and the frequency of insurance cases there is almost twice as high as the Russian average", - said the president of RAMI Evgeny Ufimtsev.
The day before it was reported that Russia is actively considering the issue of allowing the use of used (second-hand) spare parts in the repair of CMTPL insurance. The Russian Union of Motor Insurers addressed a letter with a proposal to make such changes to the law to the Chairman of the Government Mikhail Mishustin and deputies. The Cabinet sent a request to the relevant ministries to work on the initiative, a source familiar with the discussion told Izvestia.
Earlier, on November 15, it was reported that the Central Bank (CB) of the Russian Federation supported the idea to allow companies to issue a referral for repair under CMTPL to the service station, which the car owner chose himself. Ilya Smirnov, director of the Central Bank 's insurance market department, told Izvestiya.
