The State Duma (Duma) Committee on Financial Market has supported an increase in the preferential family mortgage loan size, Izvestia found out on November 28.
"The program of preferential family mortgage requires adjustment. It is necessary to take into account the prevailing market prices and trends in the housing market. In addition, family housing should have a minimum of two bedrooms, which allows to provide families with children with the necessary amenities and conditions for comfortable living and development," - said "Izvestia" Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on the financial market Arkady Svistunov.
Therefore, he said, it would be logical to increase the maximum loan amount for all regions for apartments with an area of more than 60 square meters. m. For example, for Moscow, St. Petersburg, Moscow and Leningrad regions - from 12 million to 18 million rubles, and for the rest of the subjects - from 6 million to 9 million rubles.
"Since 2018, housing prices have increased significantly. As a consequence, a family that counts on a two-, three-, and maybe even four-room apartment is unable to pull the difference between the real cost of the apartment and the possible size of the loan without government support. Therefore, its increase will allow to solve this problem and create a more comfortable and spacious environment for raising children", - said "Izvestia" chairman of the Magadan regional branch of "Business Russia" Yuri Agafonov.

This is about 15% more than the results of August, follows from the data "Dom.RF". The volume of disbursements has almost recovered to the level of May 2024 - in that month 36 thousand loans were issued under the family mortgage program for 203 billion.
