Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday, November 28, in his welcoming address to the participants of the World Russian People's Council (WRPC) that more and more countries are advocating the building of a safe multipolar world order and rejecting any form of racism and neo-colonialism. Its text was voiced by the Russian leader's first deputy chief of staff, Sergei Kiriyenko.

"More and more countries and peoples are in favor of building a secure, democratically multipolar world order, removing barriers to cooperation and rejecting any form of racism and neocolonialism," Kiriyenko read Putin's words.

The Russian leader also noted that the VRNS will be held in the spirit of open creative discussions and the proposed constructive ideas will find their application.

Moscow has repeatedly emphasized that it is in favor of multipolarity. On September 21, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the Russian Federation plans to defend the multipolarity of the world together with its partners. She stressed that it is necessary to restore the central coordinating role of the UN, because it has weakened due to the West's desire to make the organization serve its interests.

Prior to that, on May 17, Putin said that the world is undoubtedly becoming multipolar. The head of state pointed out that those who are still trying to maintain their monopoly should understand the essence of the multipolarity process and make it natural and conflict-free.
