A meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) will be held in Moscow. This was reported to journalists on November 28 by the permanent representative of the Russian Federation to the statutory and other bodies of the CIS Andrei Grozov.
"The Council of Heads of Government of the CIS countries will be held on December 12 in Moscow," Grozov noted before the meeting of the CIS post representatives in Minsk.
The last meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State was held on October 13, 2023. It discussed issues of foreign policy, security and counter-terrorism.
Earlier, November 26, Russian President Vladimir Putin urged to prevent destabilization of the situation in the CIS. The head of state noted that in difficult geopolitical conditions constructive interaction is more important than ever.
He also emphasized the need for annual meetings of the heads of CIS special services to discuss current security threats and develop joint solutions.
