A resident of the Chelyabinsk region was detained for public calls to extremism


Employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia in Chelyabinsk region detained a local resident for public calls to extremism. This was reported by the press service of the agency on November 28.
It is established that the local resident, being a supporter of radical views, posted extremist materials in the messenger Telegram.
"The investigative body of the FSS against the person initiated a criminal case on the signs of corpus delicti, provided by part 2 of article 280 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("Public calls for extremist activity, committed with the use of mass media or information and telecommunication networks, including the Internet)", - stated in the message of the FSS of Russia.
The attacker also offered a bribe to an employee of the security body in order to evade criminal responsibility. Another criminal case was opened against the man - under Part 3 of Article 291 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("Giving a bribe to an official").
The suspect was taken into custody. At the moment, the case file was sent to the court for consideration on the merits.
Earlier, November 22, a resident of Chelyabinsk region was detained for public calls to terrorism and extremism. The suspect is a supporter of radical views. It is established that in comments on the Internet he called for terrorist activity and illegal actions against law enforcement officers. A criminal case has been opened.
