Crimea calls Kiev's conditions for negotiations with Russia empty talk

The words of the head of the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (whose term of office expired on May 20), Andriy Yermak, about new conditions for the start of negotiations between Kiev and Moscow are hollow talk. This was stated by the head of the Crimean interethnic mission Zaur Smirnov on November 28.
In his opinion, Ukraine does not have sufficient capabilities to set conditions for dialog, in this regard, Yermak's statement should be considered groundless.
"The disintegration of Ukraine has already happened, this is confirmed by the referendums that took place in 2014 in Crimea and in 2022 in the historical regions. The residents of these territories expressed their unwillingness to be further part of Ukraine and reunited with Russia," Smirnov told RIA Novosti.
In addition, the head of the Crimean interethnic mission pointed out that the policy of the United States and the West only contributes to the further disintegration of Ukraine.
Earlier, on November 27, Yermak said that negotiations on the Ukrainian conflict with Russia are possible if the parties agree to return Ukraine's borders to the state of February 23, 2022. In his opinion, such a step could become "a starting point for further settlement," Gazeta.Ru recalls.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on October 18 that Russia is ready to engage in a dialog on the peaceful end of the conflict in Ukraine, but only on the basis of the Istanbul agreements of 2022. The Russian Federation, more than anyone else, is interested in ending the special operation as soon as possible and by peaceful means.
The last round of talks between Russia and Ukraine took place in Istanbul on March 29, 2022. They lasted about three hours. Later, Kiev officially refused contacts with Moscow. On October 4 of the same year, Zelensky introduced the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of the country about the impossibility of holding talks with Putin.
