Traffic police officers stopped the transportation of more than 2 kg of heroin from the Moscow region

Traffic police officers stopped a foreign car driven by a 36-year-old man on the Togliatti Bypass highway. During the inspection of the car, law enforcers found suspicious briquettes, which contained more than 2 kg of heroin. This is reported on November 28 by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

When checking the documents, the driver said that he was traveling from Moscow region to Togliatti. The behavior of the man alerted the law enforcers, so they decided that he may be transporting prohibited substances.

"Auto inspectors decided to inspect the stopped vehicle and in the presence of witnesses found under the rear right fender briquettes wrapped in food film. Suspicious convolutions were seized and sent for examination, which established that the contents of the briquettes were heroin with a total mass of more than 2 kg," the agency said in a statement in its Telegram channel.

The suspect said that he took a large batch of the banned substance from the Moscow region. His plan was to pack and place in caches in the Samara region for sale.

A criminal case was opened under article 228.1, part 5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Illegal production, sale or forwarding of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances in especially large amounts") and under article 30, part 3 ("Preparation for a crime"). 3 ("Preparation for a crime and attempted crime"). The defendant was taken into custody.

Earlier, November 25, in Sochi, a detained drug dealer made an attempt to steal a volume of the criminal case to avoid punishment. It is specified that the defendant in the case, Genrikh Mashkov, came from Kostroma. In Sochi, he made an attempt to sell drugs on a large scale, as a result of which he was detained.

Earlier, on September 26, in Odintsovo, Moscow region, police detained a transgender man with drugs (the LGBT movement is recognized as extremist in Russia).
