Experts named popular dishes during the Christmas Lent among Russian residents

The last long fasting period this year will last from November 28 to January 6, in connection with which "Gazeta.Ru" found out which Lenten recipes are popular in different regions of Russia.

Most of all, Russians pay attention to recipes for soup with peas and cabbage. This is a light and healthy dish, to which you can add various spices and vegetables.

In second place is lean mayonnaise, which does not contain eggs and milk, in this regard, the sauce can be added to many vegetarian dishes.

The third place was taken by beet salad in the Swedish way. This recipe is somewhat similar to vinaigrette, but instead of the usual beets, it uses pickled fruits, and the salad is dressed with lean mayonnaise.

Most often women aged 17 to 79 are interested in Lenten recipes, but the main audience is young girls, the average age of which is 24 years old.

Earlier, on November 27, "Izvestia" told about the products that can be eaten during the Christmas fast. During all 40 days there is a ban on meat, eggs and dairy products.
