Groomer Kazimova spoke about the importance of clothing and shoes for dogs in winter

Snow clumps in the hair and reagents on the roads are troubles that pet owners face in winter. This was told on Thursday, November 28, by a professional groomer, owner of a network of grooming salons "Chekhvost" Daria Kazimova.

She told in conversation with "Gazeta.Ru" that the main reason to pick up the dog booties is the chemical reagents used to treat sidewalks and roads.

"These substances can not only cause discomfort to the dog, but also be traumatic. <...> If a dog accidentally eats a pea of the reagent, it can cause intoxication and in some cases even lead to death," she warned.

Kazimova added that unlike creams and waxes, which don't always provide adequate protection, shoes eliminate contact with reagents and save from snow clumps on paw pads.

Dogs living in the middle zone and in latitudes with a pronounced winter period with low temperatures often need winter clothes, the expert emphasized. At the same time, it is important for owners of grooming breeds to know that their pets with soft hair need clothes with smooth lining, the groomer explained.

According to him, it is necessary to observe the rules at home and follow them outside the walls of the dwelling.
