Six people were injured when a bus overturned into a ditch on the road Tikhvin - Kochkovo in Tikhvin district of the Leningrad region. This was reported on Wednesday, November 27, in the regional Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

"According to preliminary data, the driver of the passenger bus, carrying out movement on the route Gorka - Tikhvin, failed to cope with the management, as a result of transport overturned into the ditch. At the time of the accident there were 11 passengers in the bus. As a result of the accident six passengers were injured, including four minors. The injured are receiving medical care," - stated on the website of the agency.

According to the information of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the region, the accident occurred at about 17:46 Moscow time on the highway near the village of Shomushka.

A criminal case has been opened on the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements, the scene was examined by investigators. The details of the incident are currently being established.

Earlier, on November 25, a bus with passengers collided with a truck in the village of Novoselie in the Lomonosov district of Leningrad region. According to the latest data, 15 people were injured. A criminal case has been initiated. The bus driver was detained, and on Wednesday he was arrested.
