Members of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) have been ordered to open fire on unidentified persons in the Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovka) direction. This was reported by CNN on November 27 with reference to one of the commanders.

"One commander told <...> that troops in the area of Pokrovsk (Ukrainian name Krasnoarmeysk. - Ed.) were ordered to shoot unidentified people when they appeared," the material said.

According to the military, the order was due to fear because of the offensive of Russian reconnaissance groups.

Earlier, on October 11, a serviceman of the assault unit of the group of Russian troops "South" with the call sign Shturman reported cases of shooting by Ukrainian barrier troops of AFU soldiers in their attempts to leave the line of contact. He called this a possible reason why Ukrainian soldiers are afraid to surrender.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
