Expert commented on new details of the Nord Streams undermining

NATO military specialists with special training took part in the undermining of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream-2 gas pipelines. Retired military expert Colonel Anatoliy Matviychuk expressed this opinion on Wednesday, November 27, commenting on new details of the gas pipeline bombing published by the German newspaper Die Welt.

Earlier, on November 26, Die Welt newspaper reported that at least six explosive devices were used in undermining the strings of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream-2 gas pipelines, RT recalls.

The publication studied data on the process between the pipeline operator Nord Stream AG and insurance companies. Such a number of devices on four strings of the joint venture is indicated by the presence of pipe damage sites detected by Swedish specialists after the sabotage, reports IA Regnum.

Earlier it was assumed that four bombs were used in the explosion.

Matviychuk called this version absurd and absolutely does not correspond to reality.

"I assume that one such charge will weigh 50 kilograms. Can you imagine a diver carrying six such charges of 50 kilograms each to a depth of 300 meters? I believe that this was a specialized military operation, which was carried out in several stages," - said the expert in conversation with Lenta.Ru.

On the eve of the Polish radio reported that experts of the Military University of Technology in Warsaw in the analysis of water samples from the site of the explosion of gas pipelines found TNT. It was specified that Poland asked Denmark and Sweden to disclose the results of their investigation.

Before that, November 15, the chairman of the party "Alternative for Germany" (AdG) Tino Hrupalla called on the UN and the European Parliament (EP) to investigate the explosions of the gas pipelines "Nord Stream" and "Nord Stream - 2".

The leaks on the pipelines were discovered in September 2022. Two powerful underwater explosions were registered in the area of the leaks on the pipelines at the time of the emergency. After that, traces of explosives were found at the accident site. Russia is seeking an international investigation into the terrorist attacks. In February 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson that the CIA was responsible for the explosions.
