- The media allowed the disintegration of Ukraine according to the scenario of Yugoslavia after the conflict

After the end of the conflict in Ukraine, the country may split into two parts, and this probable division will resemble the breakup of Yugoslavia. This was reported by American Thinker magazine on November 26.
According to the magazine, the Ukrainian conflict may end with a ceasefire agreement, and Kiev will keep a "fragment" of the state in the west. At the same time, the authors of the article emphasized that Ukraine could have avoided the conflict if it had decided to remain a neutral state between Russia and Western countries.
The format of Ukraine's disintegration given in the article resembles the division of Yugoslavia, "Gazeta.Ru" reports.
The breakup of Yugoslavia took place from 1991 to 2006, during which the republic was divided into five independent states: Slovenia, Croatia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.
On November 26, The Washington Post (WP) reported that officials in the USA and the European Union (EU) concluded that in order to settle the conflict, Ukraine would have to give up some of the territories that would fall under the control of the Russian Federation.
Before that, on 5 October, the Financial Times reported that the West was considering the division of Ukraine on the model of the division of the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) and the German Democratic Republic (GDR). The publication specified that under such a scenario, Kiev would temporarily stop claiming the lost territories in order to join NATO, and then decisions on the "return" of these lands would be made.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on October 7 that there is no realistic basis under the speculation about a possible partition of Ukraine.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, is ongoing. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
