JAC has unveiled in China the debut model of the Maextro car brand, which was created in cooperation with Huawei. The model is named S800, the automaker said in a statement, which was received by Izvestia on November 27.

The Maextro S800 is a luxury sedan that will get an electric powertrain and become a competitor to flagship models of European premium brands such as Maybach and Rolls-Royce. The length of the model is 5480 mm and the distance between the axles is 3370 mm.

The novelty is equipped with a third-level unmanned control system that allows you not to keep your hands constantly on the steering wheel, as well as an intelligent driving system from Huawei. It includes a 192-line LiDAR sensor with a wide range and increased accuracy, complemented by learning algorithms for dynamic perception of the environment and driving controls.

The company did not reveal details about the powertrain. The sedan is based on Huawei's second-generation Tuling platform, which features tight integration of intelligent driving systems into the chassis architecture.

JAC noted that in China has almost completed the production of a new plant for the production of Maextro models, the production capacity of the enterprise will be 200 thousand cars per year.

Earlier in the day it was reported that the electric crossover Jiyue Robocar 01, developed by Geely and Baidu, will enter the Russian market. The car will receive adaptation for Russian buyers, in particular a localized interface of the multimedia system. The model will receive the Vehicle Type Approval (VTA), which allows to start mass sales of the model in Russia.
