Auto expert, partner of the analytical agency "Avtostat" Igor Morzharetto named on Wednesday, November 27, the main rules of safe driving in winter in subzero temperatures.

Earlier, on November 11, the director of mechanical repair of Avilon automobile group Alexandra Gabaraeva said that one of the most common mistakes of motorists in subzero temperatures is to warm up the car for a long time, RT reports.

According to the expert, it is better to start the engine, let it work for one or two minutes, and then carefully start driving.

Among other mistakes, Avilon representative singled out ignoring the check of fluids and oils, adding that the car should be cleaned regularly. Ice on the windows impairs visibility and leads to accidents, and snow on the roof often falls on the rear vehicles, the expert explained.

Gabaraeva also said that during frosts the car battery discharges faster. Therefore, with the onset of cold weather it is necessary to check its condition and, if necessary, to charge it.

Earlier, on October 24, technical director of the international network of car services Fit Service Nikita Rodionov said that in preparation of the car for winter should not only change tires, but also check the condition of the battery, technical fluids, change windshield wipers and undergo a number of other procedures.
