A crew of the Russian Armed Forces' (AF) Army Aviation in a Mi-35M helicopter as part of a mixed tactical group has struck personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the border area of Kursk Region with air missiles. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on November 27.
While performing combat work, supporting the units of the North group, Russian fighters launched missiles, oriented on the coordinates of the air guide and destroyed a stronghold of the AFU and their personnel.
After completing the task, the crews performed anti-missile maneuvering with the firing of heat traps to prevent the Ukrainian man-portable anti-aircraft missile system from hitting them.
As reported in the department, the army aviation during the special military operation (SMO) escorts convoys, destroys armored vehicles of the AFU, delivers paratroopers, military cargo, provides air support to units that perform actions during the SMO.
Earlier in the day it was reported that the special forces of the Rosgvardia destroyed the personnel of the AFU in the Kursk region. The point of temporary dislocation of the enemy was found in the forest area of the region. An objective control was established over the area.
The Ukrainian military attacked Russian positions in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. The operation to destroy the militants continues.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
