Moscow and Astana have the desire to seek solutions to complex issues in bilateral relations, and they are found. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with the head of Kazakhstan Kasym-Jomart Tokayev on November 27.

The Russian leader thanked his colleague for the invitation and called Kazakhstan a reliable ally of the Russian Federation.

"Kazakhstan is our strategic partner and a really reliable ally <...> The most important thing is that there is a desire to seek answers to all these questions and find them," Putin said during the enlarged talks.

For his part, Tokayev said he prioritizes cooperation with Russia. He also ruled out serious problems in relations between Moscow and Astana.

Putin arrived in Kazakhstan on a two-day visit earlier in the day. In Kazakhstan, the Russian president will attend a session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). About 20 documents and joint statements on deepening the strategic partnership of the two countries are expected to be signed following the visit.

Earlier in the day, during the Russian leader's visit to Kazakhstan, Putin and Tokayev helped artist Asel Sabyrzhankyzy to paint a picture depicting the bridge of friendship between Russia and Kazakhstan.
