Energodar was left without power supply due to an emergency power line outage

The satellite city of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant (ZNPP) Energodar remained without power supply due to an emergency disconnection of power lines. This was reported on Wednesday, November 27, in the press service of the administration of Energodar city district.
"There was an emergency disconnection of the high-voltage line outside the city", - stated in the Telegram-channel.
It is specified that without power supply also remained the settlements Kamenka-Dneprovskaya and Vodyanoye. The agency said that specialists will start restoration work after finding out the causes of the accident.
Earlier, October 24, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, said that the situation with the external power supply to ZNPP remains unstable. He added that throughout the week the agency's experts had heard explosions at the plant
On October 21, the high-voltage power supply line of ZNPP Ferroalloy-1 was shut down by automation for unknown reasons. The radiation level at the site, according to experts, is within the permissible norm. At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) shelled Enerhodar. The mayor of the city, Eduard Senovoz, said that a gas pipeline was damaged and the attack complicates the start of the heating season in Energodar.
Zaporizhzhya Region, where the nuclear power plant is located, became part of the Russian Federation following a referendum in September 2022, since then the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant has been under constant IAEA control.
