Ryabkov urged the US and NATO to stop escalating the Ukrainian conflict

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov on Wednesday, November 27, called on the administration of incumbent United States President Joe Biden to stop the escalation around Ukraine, pointing out that it would be difficult to end the confrontation otherwise.
"First of all, the outgoing US administration must stop unwinding this spiral of escalation. They just have to do it, otherwise it will be too dangerous for everyone, including the United States," the Russian deputy foreign minister said on RT television.
In his opinion, the moment is near when there will no longer be an alternative to recognizing Washington and NATO as full-fledged participants in the conflict with Russia.
"The moment is approaching when there can be no other way but to recognize that the US, NATO and others who play this game on the side of Kiev and the West - they have become full-fledged participants in this conflict," he said.
Ryabkov also called Russia's launch of the Oreshnik ballistic missile a signal to the West to stop supplying Ukraine with weapons. He emphasizes that Kiev's encouragement of military action by its allies, the US and NATO, indicates their full participation in the conflict.
Russia honors the agreement with the United States on the warning of ballistic missile test launches and expects the same from the United States, the politician said. He reminded that the necessary channels of communication for this purpose remain open, only Washington's political decisions can be a problem.
On the same day, American journalist Seymour Hersh said that the Pentagon had not properly analyzed all the possible consequences of the escalation of the Ukrainian conflict, which Biden had contributed to.
On November 24, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius pointed to Russia's superiority over the European Union in the production of shells. According to him, the Russian defense industry produces as many shells in three months as all EU countries do in a year.
Earlier, on November 22, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov pointed to the desire of the outgoing administration of US President Joe Biden to escalate the conflict in Ukraine.
Prior to that, on Nov. 21, Putin reported that Ukraine had used Western long-range weapons against Russia, causing the regional conflict to acquire elements of a global conflict. He also said that one of Russia's newest medium-range missile systems, the Oreshnik ballistic missile, had been tested under combat conditions.
The special operation to protect Donbass, which began on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
