Zelensky's office had hoped Harris would win the US election

The office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (his term of office expired in May) was hoping for the victory of Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris in the USA election. This was reported by Ukrainska Pravda on Wednesday, November 27, citing sources.
"There is no need to panic, Kamala will win, and there will be no catastrophe," - the source of the publication quotes the words of the head of the office of Andriy Yermak.
The material notes that after the victory of the newly elected US President Donald Trump in the elections in Kiev realized that their peace settlement plan, developed with the policy of the current US leader Joe Biden, has become irrelevant and will not work with the new American President.
"Ukrainska Pravda" states that despite the fact that publicly Zelensky and his team demonstrate control over the situation in the international arena, behind the scenes there is a tense struggle for "influence on the formation of a new world order" until Trump took office.
Earlier, on November 11, it was reported that Trump's decision not to invite former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to his team dashed Kiev's hopes for the presence of a lobbyist for the Kiev regime's interests in the U.S. government.
On November 10, The Wall Street Journal reported that Trump may succeed in "bringing Kiev, which is losing its frontrunners, to the negotiating table." WSJ wrote back on Nov. 7 that Trump's team is already discussing a new plan to end the conflict in Ukraine. It includes several main points, according to which the front line is frozen and a demilitarized zone is declared along its length. At the same time, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov expressed the opinion that the publication is abstract and resembles the plan itself.
The election of the 47th president of the United States was held on November 5. In the national vote, Trump received 51% of the vote, while Harris received 47.4%. The results were met with prolonged applause in Trump's campaign headquarters. The politician himself later called himself the 47th president of the United States. Speaking to supporters, the Republican said that his goal as head of state considers the end of military conflicts in the world.
