Putin arrived in Kazakhstan on a state visit

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Kazakhstan on Wednesday, November 27, for a two-day visit.
Putin's visit to Kazakhstan will take place from November 27 to 28. The head of state will discuss with his Kazakh counterpart Kasym-Jomart Tokayev the further development of Russian-Kazakh relations. It is expected to sign about 20 documents and a joint statement on deepening the strategic partnership of the two countries.
In addition, in Astana Putin will take part in the session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), as well as via video link - in the plenary session of the jubilee XX Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan, which is held in Ufa.
Earlier in the day, ahead of Putin's visit to Kazakhstan, his article was published in the Kazakhstanskaya Pravda publication. There he noted that cooperation between the two countries is truly allied in nature and continues to actively develop in all areas.
Tokayev, in turn, published an article in Izvestia, where he pointed out that the strategic partnership between Russia and Kazakhstan and their alliance are based on close historical and cultural ties, as well as on shared responsibility for the future of the two peoples.
In early July, Putin and Tokayev met in Astana on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit. The Russian president noted that he is in constant contact with his Kazakh counterpart, and Russia is one of the republic's main trade and economic partners. During these talks, Tokayev invited Putin to pay an official visit to Kazakhstan in November. The two leaders also held telephone talks in late August.
