A case has been opened after a ship with passengers capsized in the Barents Sea


A criminal case has been opened in Murmansk after a pleasure boat with passengers capsized near the village of Teriberka in the Barents Sea. This was reported on Wednesday, November 27, in the Telegram-channel of the North-West Transport Prosecutor's Office.
"On the fact of rendering services that do not meet safety requirements, the investigative body initiated a criminal case. The investigation is under control of the prosecutor's office," - said the acting Murmansk transport prosecutor Peter Titarenko.
It is noted that all the victims of the incident were taken to the shore.
The prosecutor's office is checking compliance with the rules of safety of operation of water transport, establishes the circumstances and causes of the incident.
The vessel with passengers overturned near the village of Teriberka in the Barents Sea earlier in the day. According to preliminary data, all passengers are alive and were rescued by the crew of a passing ship, which reported the accident.
