The court in Arkhangelsk sentenced the organizer of an attempted murder with a flamethrower to 24 years and eight months in a strict regime colony. This was reported on November 27 in the press service of the prosecutor's office of the Arkhangelsk region and the Nenets Autonomous District.

"Lomonosovsky district court of Arkhangelsk agreed with the position of the state prosecutor and found the 56-year-old resident of Murmansk guilty under part 3 of article 33, part 3 of article 30, paragraphs "a", "e" of part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Organization of an attempted murder of more than two persons, committed in a generally dangerous way")", - stated in the message of the department in Telegram-channel.

The court found that the convict in October 2005 organized the attempted murder of six people, including a member of the regional assembly of deputies, in order to further entrepreneurial cooperation with others in the forestry sector. The crime was committed by firing a flamethrower through the opening of an office window.

The man did not manage to finish the case due to the fact that right before the shot all the victims left their workplaces and went to another room.

In addition to a term in a high-security colony, the convict was fined in the amount of Br80 thousand.

Earlier, on November 24, it became known about the shooting in the city of Marx, Saratov region. It was reported that the incident occurred in the area of Victory Street. Between the drivers of two cars there was a traffic conflict, as a result of which one of the men opened fire from the car. One person died, another was injured. Then the source of "Izvestiya" said that the city announced a plan "Siren" to catch the criminal. Investigators opened a criminal case for the murder and attempted murder of two more people. The suspect was detained the same day.
