The court rejected the appeal of Pashayev's ex-advocate

The Second Western District Military Court rejected the appeal of former lawyer Elman Pashayev, accused of fraud. This was reported by the Izvestiya correspondent from the courtroom on November 27.
Earlier, the court extended the term of detention of the ex-lawyer until January 15.
In the appeal, the lawyer asked to assign his client house arrest with a ban on certain actions. According to him, Pashayev is "characterized very positively" and is not going to hide from the investigation.
September 17, it became known that a criminal case was opened against Pashayev under Part 4 of Article 159 ("Fraud, committed on a large scale"). The amount of damage amounted to Br18.5 million and $300 thousand.
According to investigators, in February, Pashayev at a meeting with the husband of blogger Elena Blinovsky Alexei convinced him of his ability to release his wife from criminal liability for a large sum. Blinovsky, in turn, handed over the money to Pashayev.
